ETU spring term enrolment runs from September-December. The fall term enrolment is open from October-May the following year.(The cycle may vary annually) Registration information is posted on the official website and WeChat account once the application process has begun. Please stay tuned.

Step 1:Fill in the application form, pay the application fee

The application form is the first step in our application process. We ask that you submit as early in the process as possible. The application fee is 1500 RMB per student and is non-refundable.  Applicants who are not accepted or withdraw an application will not receive a refund. Admissions will contact applicant families upon receiving the application form and fee for the next step in the admission process.

Step 2:Submit application materials

Recommendation from teachers

The application must include a recommendation letter from a current teacher.The application must include an official grade report from the appropriate school official in your current school.

School Report

Applicants should arrange for the School Report form to be completed by the appropriate school official. The form should be sent via email, along with the Official Transcript or stamped School Records requested, to admission@etuschool.org

Student Health Examination Form

Applicants should arrange body check and have the Student Health Examination Form completed. The form should be uploaded through the ETU online application system.

Note: All recommendation letters, including information provided by the applicant’s teacher, school officials, or family acquaintances are kept confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties, including the applicant and his or her family.

Step 3:Interview

Within a week of receiving the completed application and fee, the admissions team will set a student and family interview date through email.

Step 4:Result

Acceptance results will be communicated via email within one week.

Step 5:Submit Enrollment Deposit

Please complete the Enrollment Consent Form and pay the enrollment deposit within one week following acceptance. ETU School may deny enrollment to applicants who miss the due date or submit incomplete enrollment forms. Families who decide to cancel student enrolment must do so in writing to be eligible for a refund.  ETU School may take the enrollment deposit as compensation. 






  • 1.Do ETU students have Chinese Student ID (Xue Ji)?

    All students of the appropriate age and who meet the Chaoyang Xue Ji policy can apply for Student ID (Xue Ji). 

  • 2.Do you accept foreign students or students from Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan?

    Yes.

  • 3.What grade levels do you offer?

    We currently offer Preschool (2-5 years old), Kindergarten (5-6 years old), and Elementary grades 1-6.

  • 4.Do you accept applications midway through the school year?

    If a vacancy occurs, ETU accepts new students for the spring term. We do not enroll students during the semester.

  • 5.What are the class sizes?

    Preschool and Kindergarten: 18 students per class;Elementary grades 1-6: 24 students per class.Each class has one headteacher and a teaching assistant. 

  • 6.What is the Chinese/English ratio during the school day?

    For grades K-3, the percentage of language use (Chinese to English) is 7:3. Grades 4-5 are 6:4.

  • 7.Does ETU have requirements for a child's English proficiency?

    For K and G1 students, we do not have a rigid English proficiency requirement. As for G2 to G6, we hope to recruit students with an English foundation to better adapt to the English class environment. Students who have received the offer do not have to worry too much about their English proficiency. We have professional foreign teachers and can place students in a class that is suitable to their English level.

  • 8.What is ETU’s tuition fee?

    2020-2021 School Year Tuition Table:Kindergarten 159,000RMB;G1-G3 169,000RMB;G4-G6 179,000RMB。Tuition does not include extra fees for school uniforms, meals, after-school activities, or school buses. Tuition for the next school year will be determined shortly. Please contact the admission office for details. The yearly tuition fee needs to be paid in full to be enrolled. If you have more than two children studying at ETU, the school will offer a siblings discount (5% off) for the younger child/ren.

  • 9.Does ETU School provide school bus service?

    Yes, we provide school bus service. Families who need school bus transport can apply and bus routes will be designed accordingly. 

  • 10.When does the school day begin and end?Does ETU offer on-campus boarding program?

    The school day is 08:00-15:30 Monday-Friday.  Extra after-school activities run from 15:30-16:30.

  • 11.What after-school activities does ETU School offer??

    ETU partners with professional institutes and individuals to provide more than ten after-school activities.  These include, but are not limited to, music, arts, sports, STEAM, and chess.

  • 12.How many campuses does ETU School have?

    Currently we have three campuses, in Beijing (Anzhen), Guangzhou and Silicon Valley.
